HealthEquity
Public factsHRA / consumer-directed account administration
Public HSA and consumer-directed benefits administrator that runs employer-funded HRAs (including claim reimbursement and cards); not documented on public pages as a full ICHRA shopping platform.
Overview
HealthEquity is a large U.S. administrator of health savings accounts and other tax-advantaged benefit accounts. Public product pages describe Health Reimbursement Arrangements as employer-owned, employer-funded accounts that reimburse eligible medical expenses (deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and other plan-defined items) tax-free, with online and mobile claim submission (including EZ Receipts, formerly associated with WageWorks). This directory lists HealthEquity because ICHRAs are a type of HRA and employers sometimes use a CDH administrator for ICHRA funding and claims. Public HealthEquity pages reviewed for this entry describe general HRAs and do not present a dedicated ICHRA enrollment marketplace or class-design studio.
Why it matters Many large employers already have HealthEquity as the HSA/HRA recordkeeper. That can cover ICHRA *account* mechanics, but you still need an ICHRA-capable enrollment and compliance layer if HealthEquity is not providing one.
- Target buyer
- Employers and benefits partners that already use HealthEquity for HSA/FSA/HRA and need account-level HRA reimbursement, including some ICHRA funding/claims use cases.
- Pricing model
- Employer or partner administrative fees for CDH accounts; not published as a consumer list PEPM on the public HRA pages reviewed
- HealthEquity does not publish an ICHRA-specific PEPM on the public HRA pages used for this research. Fees are typically contracted with the employer, health plan, or benefits platform. Do not invent a number.

Overview
HealthEquity operates health savings and spending accounts for employers and members. Public HRA pages (healthequity.com/hra and healthequity.com/learn/hra) describe a standard employer-sponsored HRA: the employer owns and funds the account; employees do not contribute by payroll deduction; reimbursements for eligible expenses are tax-free; unused funds generally return to the employer when employment ends or as the plan provides.
WageWorks is part of HealthEquity’s history. wageworks.com now routes to HealthEquity login help and describes EZ Receipts (formerly WageWorks) as a separate mobile/web experience for some FSA/HRA members versus the HealthEquity HSA app.
HealthEquity acquired Further (see Further entry). Transition materials used by some clients describe HealthEquity as parent/custodian for HSA, HRA, and FSA programs moving onto HealthEquity’s portal.
ICHRA-specific product: Public pages reviewed for this research discuss HRAs generally (eligible expenses, enrollment during the employer’s OE, HIA incentive accounts). They do not document individual-market shopping, ICHRA class design, 90-day ICHRA notices, or carrier-direct premium pay as a HealthEquity-branded ICHRA suite. An ICHRA can still be administered as an HRA on a CDH platform; that is a configuration question for HealthEquity sales, not a fact published on the consumer HRA guides.
Key Capabilities
- Employer sets the HRA reimbursement limit and eligible-expense list.
- Members view balances, submit claims, upload documentation, and in some designs pay providers or schedule payments.
- EZ Receipts / mobile claim filing for eligible FSA/HRA populations.
- Employer portal: account balances, claim payments/denials, HRA/FSA renewal or term, reporting (details in third-party employer-portal guides that describe HealthEquity).
- Adjacent products: HSA, FSA (healthcare and dependent care), limited-purpose accounts, Health Incentive Accounts.
Do not list ICHRA shopping, affordability modeling, or broker ICHRA quoting as HealthEquity features unless a current HealthEquity contract explicitly includes them.
Integrations & Ecosystem
HealthEquity is typically connected through health plans, benefits-administration platforms, and employer files. A complete public integration directory was not retrieved; healthequity.com presented a Cloudflare bot challenge during this research pass. WageWorks-era and Further-era populations may still sit on different member experiences during or after transitions.
Pricing
No public ICHRA or HRA PEPM was found on the HRA marketing/learn pages used here. Pricing is contractual. Confirm whether ICHRA (premium reimbursement, attestation, notice generation) is in scope or whether HealthEquity is only the claims/card administrator behind another ICHRA platform.
Notes & Limitations
- Not verified as a turnkey ICHRA platform from public HealthEquity pages in this pass.
- Site bot-protection limited live scraping of some URLs; facts above are from HRA product/learn pages and login-help content that did resolve, plus widely used employer-portal documentation that names HealthEquity.
- HRA vs HSA ownership and rollover rules on HealthEquity’s educational pages describe traditional HRAs and may not match a given ICHRA design.
- Pair HealthEquity with a dedicated ICHRA administrator when the buyer needs shopping, class rules, and premium pay — unless HealthEquity confirms those services in writing.
