Public facts

HCM benefits administration

HR, payroll, and workforce-management suite with UKG Pro Benefits Hub for enrollment, plan comparison, payroll sync, carrier connectivity, and ACA reporting.

Overview

UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) is a privately held HCM vendor formed in 2020 from Ultimate Software and Kronos. Its benefits products sit inside UKG Pro and include UKG Pro Benefits Hub (and earlier UKG Pro Benefits Administration, formerly UltiPro Benefits Prime). Employers use the hub for open enrollment and life events, side-by-side plan comparison, take-home-pay modeling, carrier connectivity, and ACA Manager reporting.

Why it matters For employers already on UKG Pro, benefits sit in the same HR/payroll system of record rather than a standalone enrollment tool.

Target buyer

Overview

UKG Inc. is a privately held human-capital-management company with dual headquarters in Lowell, Massachusetts, and Weston, Florida. It was formed on April 1, 2020, by combining Ultimate Software and Kronos Incorporated. UKG’s FY24 Global Impact Report describes it as a Delaware corporation and a wholly owned, indirect subsidiary of Unite Parent Corp., and states that more than 80,000 organizations use its HR, payroll, workforce-management, and culture products.

Benefits administration is delivered inside the UKG Pro suite. Public product materials describe UKG Pro Benefits Administration (formerly UltiPro Benefits Prime) and, later, UKG Pro Benefits Hub. A January 2025 product profile presents Benefits Hub as the current enrollment and administration experience, with real-time integration to UKG HR and payroll.

UKG announced UKG Pro Benefits Hub as a modernized employee enrollment experience with side-by-side plan comparison and “Model My Pay,” which estimates take-home pay under different election scenarios. The same announcement said the hub covers open enrollment and life events and gives employees real-time access to benefits information. Public pages do not publish a standalone benefits-only SKU for buyers who are not on UKG.

List prices, implementation timelines, and a current carrier-partner roster are not published. Availability is described as national/global HCM; a U.S. state-by-state product matrix was not found.

Key Capabilities

  • Employee enrollment shopping experience: filter preferences, compare plans side by side, edit dependents and beneficiaries, and review a confirmation statement.
  • Educational content during enrollment and an employee dashboard with year-round plan information.
  • Model My Pay scenarios that show how elections affect take-home pay.
  • Administrator configuration for plan design, benefits calculations, communications, and reporting.
  • Payroll gateway to preview and validate deduction transactions before they post; tools for missed-deduction payback and arrears.
  • Streamlined Evidence of Insurability processing.
  • Carrier connectivity to send enrollment data to insurers.
  • ACA Manager for ACA reporting and state-compliance tracking.
  • Support for future-dated life events (listed on the Benefits Hub product profile).

Integrations & Ecosystem

Benefits Hub is built to run with UKG Pro HR and payroll so eligibility, elections, and deductions stay in one system. UKG documents “carrier connectivity” for enrollment-file transfer; a public directory of connected carriers was not found in this research.

UKG also sells adjacent HCM products (UKG Ready, UKG HR Service Delivery, UKG OneView/global payroll, and others). Whether a given employer’s benefits module is Benefits Hub, legacy Benefits Administration, or a Ready-suite variant depends on the contracted UKG product line and is not published as a single catalog.

Pricing

UKG does not publish list prices for UKG Pro, Benefits Hub, or ACA Manager. Pricing is quote-based and typically bundled with the broader HCM agreement.

Implementation, training, carrier-connection setup, and any PEPM or per-form ACA fees are not disclosed on the public product pages reviewed.

Notes & Limitations

  • Public materials mix older “Benefits Administration / Benefits Prime” naming with the newer Benefits Hub brand; confirm which module a prospect is actually licensed for.
  • No published PEPM, implementation fee schedule, or full carrier list.
  • UKG Ready has a separate mid-market product line; this entry focuses on UKG Pro benefits materials.
  • Customer-count and “largest people-data” claims are vendor-reported.
  • National availability is inferred from U.S./global HCM positioning; a state product matrix was not found.
  • Homepage fetch timed out during this pass; facts above are from UKG newsroom, product PDFs, and the FY24 Global Impact Report.
