ACA Complete and ACA Essential 1094/1095 compliance

Trusaic ACA Essential (year-end 1094/1095 filing) and ACA Complete (year-round measurement, penalty risk, audit defense) with HCM integrations.

Overview

Trusaic’s public homepage now leads with pay-equity software (PayParity®), but the company still sells dedicated Affordable Care Act products. ACA Essential is year-end Form 1094-C/1095-C generation and e-file. ACA Complete® adds monthly monitoring, look-back measurement, penalty risk assessments, automated affordability safe-harbor selection, designated ACA analysts, and IRS/state audit defense (letters 226J, 972G, 5699 named). State e-file is described for California, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Washington, D.C. Integrations named include Workday, UKG (bi-directional), SAP, and ADP.

Why it matters Trusaic is one of the few vendors that still publishes a full year-round ACA measurement stack (Complete) versus e-file-only tools, even though its homepage now emphasizes pay equity.

Target buyer
Applicable large employers—especially multi-EIN or multi-HRIS organizations—that want year-round ACA measurement and audit defense, not only a 1095 print shop.
Pricing model
Not published; two commercial tiers (Essential vs Complete) plus optional state filing
No public PEPM or per-form prices on the ACA solutions pages. State filing can be an add-on or standalone if federal filing is elsewhere.

Overview

Trusaic operates two public product families. The homepage captured in this research is pay equity and EU pay-transparency software. Separate URLs document ACA compliance: ACA Essential (reporting) and ACA Complete (compliance + reporting). This directory entry is the ACA line.

ACA Complete is described as pairing proprietary technology with a designated ACA specialist, continuous monitoring for missing offers of coverage, monthly penalty-risk work, and full audit assistance. Trusaic claims more than $1 billion in proposed employer shared-responsibility assessments reduced or eliminated, and that it has never lost an audit. Those are vendor claims.

Essential is the entry filing product: clean HR/payroll data, generate 1094-C/1095-C, meet federal (and, with the state module) state deadlines. State filing converts federal data to state XML for CA, NJ, RI, and D.C. A blog FAQ also mentions Massachusetts Form 1099-HC as a different state form. Furnishing can be mail, electronic portal, or both.

Security statements on the ACA page: SOC 2, role-based access, annual pen tests.

Notes & Limitations

  • Homepage visitors may miss ACA entirely; use the ACA URLs when evaluating.
  • Penalty-dollar and affordability-percentage FAQs are tax-year-specific educational content.
  • Massachusetts 1099-HC is called out as a different form on the state-filing page—confirm whether Trusaic files it or only 1095-style states.
  • “National” federal product with add-on state modules.
