Well-being platform and health navigation

Consumer and employer well-being platform known for RealAge, with AskMD navigation and employer programs for engagement, screenings, and condition support.

Overview

Sharecare operates a digital health and well-being platform used by consumers, employers, and health plans. The consumer homepage (2026) leads with AskMD, an AI health-navigation product that uses verified identity, connected records, and plan data to turn a question into a next-step plan. The employer site still markets a well-being platform built around RealAge, content, Green Day tracking, provider search, biometric screening, and add-on clinical programs (Blue Zones Worksites, Innergy Healthier Weight with Johns Hopkins, Ornish Lifestyle Medicine, diabetes, VR education). Sharecare announced a nationwide AskMD launch on August 6, 2026.

Why it matters Sharecare is a long-running well-being brand (RealAge) that is now also selling AI care navigation (AskMD) to the same employer and health-plan buyers.

Target buyer
Employers and health plans that want a well-being engagement layer (RealAge and related programs) and, increasingly, AI-assisted care navigation at the front door of benefits.

Overview

Sharecare’s public site in 2026 is split between a consumer/AskMD homepage and a separate employer well-being offering. AskMD is described as clinically informed, identity-verified (CLEAR), enterprise-grade AI, and HIPAA-aligned. The flow is: ask a question (or upload a photo), connect history and health-plan data, see specific options including pharmacy prices, and leave with a plan and a doctor-ready summary. Sharecare says AskMD is guidance, not a diagnosis.

Employer pages still sell “a culture of well-being”: RealAge-centered recommendations, expert content, a Green Day tracker, stored biometrics, provider search, and AskMD. Value-added modules include Certified Blue Zones Worksites, Innergy Healthier Weight (Johns Hopkins collaboration), Ornish Lifestyle Medicine, virtual-reality health education, Sharecare Diabetes Solution, population dashboards, onsite coordinators, and consultant distribution.

Vendor-reported scale on the employer page includes 43 million+ RealAge assessments, 95% RealAge completion rate and 62% RealAge reduction by 10 months in a 25-employer target group, 68 million consumers “actively managed,” 1.1 million providers, and Blue Zones Project impact figures (3 million+ Americans in 42 communities across 9 states). Ornish attendance (93.5%) and a $17,000+ three-year savings-per-participant figure (footnote: 2004) are also vendor/historical claims.

Key Capabilities

  • RealAge: habits, history, and connected records rolled into a biological-age number.
  • AskMD: coverage/copay questions, Rx price comparison, procedure cost estimates, in-network doctor match, record and lab explanations.
  • Employer engagement loop: analysis (Gallup-Sharecare Well-Being Index, RealAge, behavioral analysis) → personalized content → outcomes vs. RealAge baseline. The vendor says the model is “outcomes before rewards.”
  • Clinical/lifestyle add-ons: weight (Innergy), cardiac (Ornish), diabetes, Blue Zones environmental design.
  • Screening, onsite coordination, customized communications, and a population dashboard.
  • Consumer rewards: Bilt Points for connecting records and completing assessments (consumer product).

Integrations & Ecosystem

Named consumer connections: CLEAR (identity), Flexpa (claims), HealthEx (records), payor/TEFCA links. Employer programs use activation codes. A full HCM/payroll directory is not on the public employer page. United Musculoskeletal Partners is named in a 2026 blog item for a MIPS/value-based-care collaboration, which is a provider product, not an employer well-being connector.

Pricing

Employer commercial terms are not published. The employer page asks visitors to inquire for exclusive access.

Notes & Limitations

  • The homepage is now AskMD-first; older well-being modules live on /solutions/employers. Confirm which stack a buyer is actually purchasing.
  • Many outcome statistics are vendor-reported or dated (Ornish savings footnote is 2004).
  • AskMD is not a substitute for a clinician; Sharecare states this on the site.
  • “National” follows the nationwide AskMD announcement and U.S. employer marketing.
