Salesforce
Public factsHorizontal CRM used by brokerages
Cloud CRM (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and related clouds) that large brokerages customize for pipeline, service, and producer management.
Overview
Salesforce is a cloud CRM platform. Public CRM pages describe Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Slack, MuleSoft, AppExchange, Trailhead, and Agentforce AI on a shared customer data model. List CRM suites on salesforce.com/crm/pricing include Free Suite ($0, two user licenses), Starter Suite (from $25 USD per user per month), and Pro Suite (from $100 USD per user per month, annual contract). Enterprise and Unlimited editions are referenced on the same FAQ. Salesforce is not a medical rater; brokerages use it as CRM/AMS-adjacent workflow, sometimes with Financial Services or insurance AppExchange apps. This entry is CRM-only.
Why it matters It is the CRM many national brokerages already standardized on; benefits quoting still lives in a rater or carrier portal, not in core Salesforce.
- Target buyer
- Brokerages, GAs, and benefits firms that want a customizable enterprise CRM and can staff or hire implementation—not shops that need an out-of-the-box health AMS.
- Pricing model
- Published per-user SaaS suites plus add-on clouds; implementation extra
- Free Suite $0 (2 licenses). Starter Suite from $25 USD/user/month (transaction fees may apply). Pro Suite from $100 USD/user/month billed annually. Premier Success Plan is listed at 30% of net license fees. Enterprise/Unlimited and industry clouds (including Financial Services Cloud) have additional SKUs—confirm on Salesforce’s current price lists. Implementation and AppExchange apps are separate.

Overview
Salesforce, Inc. sells cloud applications used across industries. The CRM brand in 2026 is marketed as an “agentic CRM,” with Agentforce as the AI layer. Core clouds named on salesforce.com/crm: Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce, plus Data 360 and IT/platform services.
For insurance brokerages, Salesforce is typically configured (objects, flows, Experience Cloud portals, AppExchange packages) rather than used as a turnkey agency-management system with ACORD downloads and carrier commissions out of the box. Financial Services Cloud is an industry offering Salesforce has long sold to banks, wealth, and insurance; the exact 2026 product-page URL was not retrieved in this pass (a prior FSC URL returned 404). Treat FSC as an optional industry SKU, not as a native medical CPQ.
Trailhead is the free training platform. A 30-day CRM trial is offered with no credit card.
Key Capabilities
- Shared customer record across sales, service, and marketing.
- Pipeline, forecasting, and (on higher suites) sales quoting—generic product quoting, not group-health rating.
- Automation (Flow), custom objects, and AppExchange extensions.
- AI assistants and agents (capabilities vary by edition and Agentforce packaging).
- Collaboration via Slack.
- Integration via MuleSoft, APIs, and AppExchange.
Integrations & Ecosystem
Salesforce is integration-centric. Brokerages commonly connect it to Applied Epic, BenefitPoint, email, marketing automation, and document tools—those connections are project-specific, not a single official “benefits broker” connector list on the CRM homepage.
Pricing
Public CRM suite prices (USD, salesforce.com/crm/pricing, 2026 capture):
- Free Suite: $0, two user licenses, no contract.
- Starter Suite: from $25/user/month; unlimited users; transaction fees may apply.
- Pro Suite: from $100/user/month, billed annually, contract required.
Standard Success Plan is included; Premier Success Plan is 30% of net license fees; Signature is sales-assisted. Other products (Sales Cloud Enterprise/Unlimited historically, Marketing Cloud, etc.) have their own cards. Always re-check Salesforce’s live price list.
Notes & Limitations
- Not a quoting product in this catalog. Do not list Salesforce under Quoting, Rating & Proposal Tools.
- Out-of-the-box Salesforce does not store ACA plan designs, 834s, or carrier commission statements the way AgencyBloc or BenefitPoint do.
- Total cost usually includes implementation partners and extra clouds.
- “National” / global SaaS; no U.S. state restrictions on the CRM itself.
