Rippling PEO
Public factsPlatform PEO on unified HCM
Optional co-employment PEO on the Rippling workforce platform: master benefits, EPLI and workers’ comp, HR/compliance support, and the ability to turn PEO off without replacing the HRIS.
Overview
Rippling PEO is the professional employer organization layer of Rippling’s unified HR, IT, and finance platform. It is a co-employment service that provides payroll, benefits administration, HR, and compliance support on the same employee data model as Rippling HRIS. The vendor’s differentiator is that clients can move off PEO without replacing the underlying system. Rippling says the PEO automates federal and state-specific filings, includes EPLI and workers’ compensation coverage, and offers PHR- and SHRM-certified HR experts. A Rippling blog states the PEO is available in all U.S. states. Legal terms identify the PEO entity as Rippling PEO 1, Inc., a Florida corporation and affiliate of People Center, Inc. (d/b/a Rippling).
Why it matters Unlike traditional PEOs that own the system of record, Rippling treats PEO as a switchable service on an HCM that can continue after the client exits co-employment—material for growth-stage companies that outgrow master plans.
- Target buyer
- Small and growing U.S. employers that already want or use Rippling HR/payroll and may later leave co-employment without a system conversion.
- Pricing model
- Not published; custom quote layered on Rippling platform subscription
- Rippling does not publish a PEO list price on the official PEO product page. Quotes depend on company setup. Third-party sites circulate platform starting PEPM and all-in PEO ranges; those figures are unofficial and are not used as facts here.

Overview
Rippling is a workforce platform covering HR, IT, finance, and payroll on a single employee data model. Rippling PEO is the co-employment offering on that platform: a combination of services and technology, not software alone. Entering the PEO means sharing employer responsibilities; Rippling manages benefits administration, workers’ compensation, and compliance in that model.
The official PEO product page positions the offer for small businesses: affordable benefits, expert HR and compliance support, and “#1 rated HR software.” Rippling claims it is the only provider that lets a client move off PEO without replacing the underlying system—clients can stay on Rippling HR services or the core platform, keep data and integrations, and keep the same employee logins.
Rippling PEO Terms of Service (app.rippling.com/legal/peo) name Rippling PEO 1, Inc., a Florida corporation and affiliate of People Center, Inc. doing business as Rippling. State-specific PEO provisions are published separately.
A Rippling blog article on U.S. PEOs states that Rippling PEO is available in all U.S. states and highlights automatic state tax registration and remote-work features.

Customer stories on the PEO page (Stacklet, Clay, Sierra, Revology, Qualio) are marketing case studies, not independently audited metrics.
Integrations & Ecosystem
The PEO sits on native Rippling HR/Payroll. The PEO page claims 650+ integrations. Named ecosystem pieces on that page are Mineral and Rightway. Broader Rippling also sells IT (identity, devices), Finance (cards, expenses, bill pay), App Studio, and Data Cloud; those are platform products, not automatically included in PEO.
A complete public list of the 650+ apps is not reproduced on the PEO marketing page.
Pricing
No official public PEO price. Sales is demo/quote based. Do not treat unofficial review-site PEPM ranges as vendor facts.
Notes & Limitations
- Rippling the company is “a PEO and so much more”; many Rippling customers use HRIS/payroll without PEO. Specify the PEO SKU when comparing to ADP TotalSource or Justworks.
- This entry is the PEO offering (
rippling-peo); it is not a substitute for a general Rippling HRIS product page. - “Largest PEOs in the United States” is vendor marketing on the FAQ; no worksite-employee count is published on the pages reviewed.
- CPEO/ESAC status was not stated on the PEO product page fetched for this entry; confirm certifications on any RFP.
- National availability is taken from Rippling’s “all US states” blog statement plus the PEO legal state-specific addenda.
