Rally Health

Public facts

Engagement, missions, and incentives (now Optum Engage)

UnitedHealth Group wellbeing engagement platform (Rally), now branded Optum Engage, with health surveys, missions, challenges, coaching, and rewards.

Overview

Rally Health’s public homepage now states that Rally is part of Optum Engage. Optum still documents Rally as a member-engagement product: a health survey that produces a Rally Age, personalized missions, individual and group challenges, wellness coaching, incentives, and device/program integrations. Employer-facing Rally materials also described benefits navigation, care-choice support, and Rally Coach programs (sleep, stress, finances, weight, diabetes prevention, nicotine cessation). Some employer groups (for example YMCA Employee Benefits) announced that the Rally Engage name changed to Optum Engage effective January 1, 2026.

Why it matters Rally is the engagement layer many UHC/Optum groups already have; buyers should treat it as Optum Engage going forward, not as an independent vendor bake-off.

Target buyer
Employers and health plans already in the UnitedHealthcare / Optum orbit, or groups whose incumbent wellness portal is Rally/Optum Engage.
Pricing model
Not published as a standalone list price; typically packaged with Optum/UHC programs
rallyhealth.com does not post PEPM. Commercial access is usually through an Optum, UnitedHealthcare, or employer-group wellness program rather than a public self-serve subscription.

Overview

Rally Health, Inc. built the Rally engagement platform used by employers and health-plan members. The rallyhealth.com homepage captured for this entry redirects attention to Optum: “Now part of Optum Engage.” Optum’s business documentation still describes Rally as the product that learns about users, assigns a Rally Age from a health survey, and connects people to missions, challenges, incentives, and coaching.

An older Rally-for-employers page (prod.rallyhealth.com) described a configurable benefits-and-wellbeing dashboard, care-choice support, Rally Coach (sleep, stress, finances, weight loss, diabetes prevention, nicotine cessation), and integrated incentives. It also referenced related Optum programs Real Appeal and Quit For Life in a footnote about coaching participation.

Third-party employer communications (YMCA Employee Benefits) state that effective January 1, 2026, the Rally Engage platform name changed to Optum Engage, with URLs and the mobile app updating automatically. The Apple App Store lists “Optum Engage” by Optum Inc., with well-being programs, competitions, a health survey (score, factors, biometrics, focus area), 100+ missions, wearable sync, and HealthSafe ID multi-factor authentication.

Key Capabilities

  • Survey-driven personalization (Rally Age) and recommended missions.
  • Solo missions and social/group challenges with rewards.
  • Coaching (one-to-one and self-paced Rally Coach topics).
  • Incentive administration tied to healthy actions.
  • Benefits/care navigation on the employer Rally package (as previously marketed).
  • Device tracking and integration with other wellness programs.

Integrations & Ecosystem

Rally/Optum Engage sits inside the UnitedHealth Group stack. Public pages mention device integration and “digital extension to many tools” without publishing a full HCM list. Authentication on the current app uses HealthSafe ID.

Pricing

No public standalone PEPM on rallyhealth.com. Pricing is typically part of a medical/wellness package from Optum or UnitedHealthcare, or an employer-group program.

Notes & Limitations

  • Brand transition: Rally → Optum Engage. Some member materials may still say Rally.
  • rallyhealth.com itself has little product detail; most capabilities are documented on Optum and archived Rally employer pages.
  • Outcome footnotes on older Rally pages mix Rally Coach, Real Appeal, and Quit For Life books of business—do not treat those as a single Rally-only ROI.
  • “National” follows UHC/Optum U.S. commercial and employer distribution.
