Payer Compass
Public factsRBP and claims pricing (now Zelis)
Former independent RBP and claims-pricing company (Visium SaaS) acquired by Zelis in 2022; payercompass.com now redirects to Zelis.
Overview
Payer Compass was a claims reimbursement and reference-based pricing company whose SaaS platform, Visium®, Zelis said had 99.9% pricing accuracy on more than $200 billion in repriced claims. Zelis completed the acquisition on September 21, 2022. At close, Zelis stated Payer Compass had more than 20 years of history, more than $200 billion in claims repriced, more than $1.5 billion in annual savings, and more than 10 million lives. The public payercompass.com URL now serves Zelis marketing. Zelis’s client login still lists “Payer Compass – Visium®” under Claim Pricing. Do not treat this page as a standalone live vendor.
Why it matters Payer Compass is the lineage behind a large share of TPA RBP book-of-business that now sits inside Zelis; buyers will still hear the name on RFPs and Visium logins.

Overview
Payer Compass is not an independent vendor in 2026. Zelis announced completion of the acquisition on September 21, 2022, describing Payer Compass as a reimbursement and claims-pricing, administration, and processing company. The “About Payer Compass” section of that release named Visium as a multi-faceted SaaS platform and listed reference-based pricing, patient advocacy, balance billing and appeals, value-based payments, care management, predictive modeling and analytics, and provider-search / price-transparency tools.
The payercompass.com domain now redirects to Zelis. Zelis later markets member-centric RBP as Open Access Pricing® (see the Zelis product page). A Zelis login directory still labels a claim-pricing application “Payer Compass – Visium®.”

Notes & Limitations

- See also the Zelis product page in this catalog for the current RBP and payments platform.
