Noom for Work
Public factsEmployer cardiometabolic and behavior-change programs
Noom’s employer offering: psychology-based weight, diabetes prevention/management, obesity care, GLP-1 companion, and optional SmartRx carve-out.
Overview
Noom for Work (also marketed as Noom for Employers / Noom Health) is the enterprise channel of Noom, a consumer digital-health company known for psychology-based weight loss. The employer site describes a cardiometabolic suite: Noom Weight, a CDC Full Plus–recognized Diabetes Prevention Program, a type 2 diabetes management program, Noom Med obesity care with clinicians and medication when appropriate, GLP-1 Companion / Muscle Defense lifestyle support, and SmartRx, a PBM-bypass GLP-1 carve-out with transparent pricing. Noom announced the B2B line in November 2022. A small-group path lets some employers buy access codes rather than a full enterprise contract.
Why it matters Noom is the consumer-scale behavior-change brand employers buy for weight and DPP, now also competing on GLP-1 companion and carve-out pharmacy (SmartRx).
- Target buyer
- Employers, health plans, union funds, health systems, and brokers that want a recognizable weight/metabolic app, CDC DPP, and/or structured GLP-1 coverage.
- Pricing model
- Enterprise quote; small groups can purchase access codes; some products use outcomes-based pricing
- Employer PEPM is not published. Consumer Noom Weight/Med prices on noom.com are not the same as enterprise contracts. Press (2025 enterprise GLP-1 products) said outcomes-based pricing so clients pay for measurable success. A discount program for smaller groups is offered on the employers page.

Overview
Noom is a New York digital-health company. Consumer noom.com sells Weight and Med (including GLP-1 programs) to individuals. Noom for Work is the organization channel launched November 14, 2022, now primarily documented at noom.com/health/employers/. The 2022 announcement listed Noom Weight, Noom Mood, and CDC-recognized DPP; current employer pages emphasize cardiometabolic programs (weight, DPP, diabetes management, obesity/Med, SmartRx) more than Mood.
Employer proof points (vendor, footnoted as internal data unless noted): nearly 50% brand awareness; 25% enrollment; 15+ years of CBT-based behavior change; 50+ peer-reviewed publications and 10+ academic collaborations. Adoption and daily-engagement meters on the page rendered as zeros in the fetch and are omitted. A consumer-side analysis (January 2026, 14,203 GLP-1Rx members) is used on noom.com to support “37% more weight lost with Noom + GLP-1 than medication alone” for engaged users—that study is not an employer book-of-business guarantee.
CDC: Noom’s DPP has Full Plus Recognition. Prediabetes statistics cited on the page come from Cleveland Clinic and CDC, not from Noom trials.
Key Capabilities
- Weight: daily lessons, “why” behind habits, 1:1 coaching, community, AI logging, movement tracking.
- DPP: lifestyle coaches trained in diabetes prevention; Full Plus CDC recognition.
- Diabetes management: condition coaching, glucose-oriented habits, macros, diabetes community; one-to-one clinical care and medication management marked available late 2025.
- Noom Med: obesity clinician, labs, hidden-factor evaluation, medication when needed, GLP-1 Companion.
- SmartRx: carve-out GLP-1 fulfillment at “lowest net cost,” custom copays, protocols by risk, bypass PBM intermediaries (vendor claims).
- Union-fund positioning for high-risk, fixed-contribution groups.
- Small-group access-code purchase vs. enterprise demo.
Integrations & Ecosystem
Device integration is named. SmartRx is the pharmacy integration. HCM/payroll connectors are not listed on the employers page.
Pricing
Enterprise: quote / demo / ROI toolkit. Small groups: purchase-and-deliver access codes (price not listed). Consumer trial/subscription prices on noom.com do not apply to employer contracts. Some newer enterprise GLP-1 products were announced with outcomes-based pricing.
Notes & Limitations
- Consumer homepage is medication-heavy; employer page is the source of truth for Noom for Work.
- Noom Mood appeared in the 2022 launch and older brochures; it is not the lead module on the current employers page.
- Compounded GLP-1 language on the consumer site (not FDA-reviewed) is a consumer-program fact; do not assume the same formulary for SmartRx/employer Med without confirmation.
- “National” follows North America enterprise launch language; consumer Med notes not all 50 states for some cash-pay meds.
