Public facts

Broker benefits administration (sunsetting)

Broker-sold benefits administration and HR tools (Enrollease, Inc.), owned by Employee Navigator since 2023, with a published sunset: no new companies after January 1, 2027, and read-only mode on July 1, 2027.

Overview

Ease is a cloud benefits administration platform built for insurance brokers and their small-group employer clients. Employee Navigator acquired Enrollease, Inc. (Ease) in April 2023. The live Ease site still markets broker enrollment, employer HR tools, carrier forms, payroll sync, ACA tracking, and a mobile app. On June 3, 2026, Employee Navigator announced a two-phase sunset: brokers cannot add new companies in Ease after January 1, 2027, and Ease becomes read-only on July 1, 2027, when integrations and Ease support end.

Why it matters Ease still administers a large broker book, but it is a sunset product; new groups should be evaluated on Employee Navigator, not Ease.

Target buyer
Existing Ease brokers and employer groups that still need to service or migrate books before the 2027 sunset; not a recommended new-platform selection.
Pricing model
Quote-based broker subscription (legacy); new sales constrained by sunset
Ease has a public Pricing link on ease.com, but current list prices were not captured in this pass. Employee Navigator previously described Ease premium HRIS as about $1 PEPM and up. After January 1, 2027, new companies cannot be added in Ease. Confirm any remaining commercial terms with Employee Navigator.

Overview

Ease is the benefits administration product of Enrollease, Inc. The public site (ease.com) still presents Ease as a growth platform for brokers, employers, and technology partners, with offices historically listed in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Omaha.

Employee Navigator announced the acquisition of Ease in April 2023. Both brands continued for a period. Employee Navigator’s June 3, 2026 sunset announcement set two dates: effective January 1, 2027, brokers cannot add new companies in Ease (existing groups can still be serviced); effective July 1, 2027, Ease becomes read-only, integrations stop, and Ease customer support ends. Historical data and reporting remain available after sunset, per Employee Navigator.

Product pages still describe digital enrollment, HR change processing, carrier-form mapping, payroll integrations, ACA/ERISA-oriented tools, and a mobile app. Employee Navigator has published migration FAQs, training, and a conversion tool for moving groups to Employee Navigator.

For a new buying decision in this category, Ease is a legacy platform with a dated end of life—not an ongoing product line.

Key Capabilities

  • Broker workflows to put a book of business online, including quoting-adjacent and enrollment operations marketed on the homepage.
  • Employer dashboard for eligibility and enrollment progress, with reminders.
  • Adds, terminations, time-off requests/approvals, and demographic/benefits changes; QLE notifications.
  • Mapped digital carrier enrollment forms; vendor copy historically referenced a large form library and custom mapping.
  • Payroll integrations to sync demographics.
  • ACA tracking for variable-hour employees and generation of signature-ready IRS forms; ERISA-oriented compliance language on product pages.
  • Mobile app (iOS and Android) for directory, time off, and benefits.
  • EaseConnect+ as the named carrier-connectivity service.

Integrations & Ecosystem

Ease sits under Employee Navigator. Migration tooling and training are documented on employeenavigator.com. Payroll and carrier connections exist as product features; a complete current partner list was not captured from the Ease marketplace page in this pass.

BenefitMall/CRC Benefits historically marketed a “Marketplace Powered by Ease.” That partnership should be treated as legacy given the Ease sunset and BenefitMall’s 2025 rebrand (see the Benefitmall entry).

After July 1, 2027, Ease integrations are scheduled to end.

Pricing

ease.com exposes a Pricing navigation item; specific plan amounts were not retrieved in this research pass. Employee Navigator acquisition notes (2023–2024) mentioned Ease premium HRIS priced at $1 PEPM and up. Those figures may be obsolete.

New-company adds stop January 1, 2027. Remaining commercial terms, migration fees, and Employee Navigator plan mapping should be confirmed with Employee Navigator sales or the broker’s contract.

Notes & Limitations

  • Sunset dates are the controlling fact for this vendor as of mid-2026.
  • Employee Navigator reported (at sunset announcement) that 95% of Ease companies were eligible to upgrade without losing functionality, targeting 98.5% by end of June (year not restated in the excerpt; confirm on the announcement page).
  • Feature parity gaps between Ease and Employee Navigator were still being closed at announcement time.
  • Do not treat Ease as a long-term system of record.
  • National availability is inferred from U.S. broker/small-group use; a state matrix was not found.
