CoverWallet
Public factsDigital commercial insurance quoting (Aon)
Aon-owned digital broker that quotes and binds small-business commercial insurance online, not group medical benefits.
Overview
CoverWallet is a digital commercial-insurance platform Aon acquired (announced November 20, 2019; closed January 7, 2020). The current coverwallet.com experience is branded with Aon / NFP / Affinity Insurance Services and quotes business lines such as general liability, workers’ compensation, BOP, commercial property, professional liability, commercial auto, and umbrella. Licensed producer entities are disclosed in the site footer (Affinity Insurance Services, Inc. and related state licenses). Public pages reviewed here do not offer small-group medical or employee-benefits rating. Aon’s separate Health and Benefits practice handles employer medical broking.
Why it matters It shows up on quoting shortlists, but today’s public product is SME commercial insurance—not group health rating.

Overview
CoverWallet was founded in 2015 (New York) by Iñaki Berenguer and Rashmi Melgiri. Aon plc announced a definitive agreement to buy it on November 20, 2019, and completed the acquisition on January 7, 2020. Aon said CoverWallet would go to market as “CoverWallet, an Aon company” inside Aon’s New Ventures Group and would expand Aon’s digital SME commercial offering.
The 2026 website presents business-insurance quoting under Aon / CoverWallet / NFP branding. Footer legal text identifies Affinity Insurance Services, Inc. as a licensed producer in all states, with additional named entities in California, Minnesota, Oklahoma, New York, and other jurisdictions (including license numbers such as TX 13695 and CA 0795465).
Aon also states that small-business commercial insurance at aoncover.com is “a platform powered by CoverWallet,” listing many of the same lines plus cyber, liquor, medical malpractice, EPLI, D&O, and others.
Key Capabilities
- Guided online application and multi-line commercial quotes.
- Human advisor channel (homepage lists a personal-advisor phone number).
- Bind and service workflows typical of a digital MGA/broker (exact bind-online rules are not fully specified on the marketing homepage).
- Certificate and policy self-service described on Aon/partner “digital wallet” pages.
Employee benefits / group medical quoting is not described on coverwallet.com in this research pass. A Nextep partner page states Aon CoverWallet coverage is for the company, not individual employees.
Integrations & Ecosystem
Distribution is Aon’s digital SME channel and affinity/partner embeds. Underlying carriers are not listed as a public directory on the homepage captured here.
Pricing
Shoppers do not pay a software fee. Insurance premiums and broker compensation apply. No agency-facing SaaS price list.
Notes & Limitations
- Category placement is quoting/proposal as assigned; the live product is commercial P&C, not benefits CPQ.
- Do not describe CoverWallet as a current group-health rater based on the 2026 public site.
- Aon Health and Benefits consulting/broking is a different Aon capability.
- “National” follows the all-states producer disclosure; product availability still depends on carrier appetite and class of business.
