Connecture

Public facts

Medicare shopping, quoting, and enrollment technology

ConnectureDRX platform for Medicare Advantage, PDP, Medigap, and related plan shopping, quoting, enrollment, and retention.

Overview

Connecture, branded ConnectureDRX on its current site, sells Medicare shopping, quoting, enrollment, and retention software to health plans, FMOs, agencies, and individual agents. PlanCompare ONE targets health plans and large agencies; PlanCompare Edge targets smaller agencies and individual agents. The vendor says it supports 160 carriers and 6,500 plans, 120+ FMOs and agencies, and 125,000 agents, with market-share claims of 95% of PDP, 95% of MA/MAPD, and 80% of Medicare Supplement (vendor figures). APIs also power drug-comparison tools for Medicare and under-65 group markets. Industry lists sometimes pair “Connecture (Quotit)”; Quotit.com is a separate company sold by Word & Brown to National General in 2017.

Why it matters It is a major Medicare quoting/enrollment stack for carriers and FMOs; it is not, on today’s public site, a small-group medical rater.

Target buyer
Medicare-focused health plans, FMOs, agencies, and agents who need compliant plan compare, e-enrollment, and retention tools—not a general small-group medical CPQ.

Overview

Connecture, Inc. acquired DRX (DestinationRx) in January 2013 and in 2020 added DestinationRx to the consumer brand as ConnectureDRX. A 2020 company post described Connecture as a Harris Healthcare company. The live homepage positions the firm as a 25-year Medicare enrollment and drug-transparency vendor.

Plan types listed: Medicare Advantage, MAPD, Medicare Supplement, PDP, ancillary, and value-based care plans. Customer types: single-carrier health plans, FMOs, agencies of all sizes, financial organizations, and individual agents. Most customers are also described as part of Brokerlink.

Vendor-reported coverage: 95% of the PDP market, 95% of MA/MAPD, 80% of Medicare Supplement; 160 carriers; 6,500 plans; 120+ FMOs/agencies; 125,000 agents.

The under-65 commercial exchange and small-group products that older Connecture (public-company era) materials described are not the lead offering on the 2026 homepage. APIs are still said to power drug comparison for “Medicare and U65 group markets.”

Key Capabilities

  • PlanCompare ONE and PlanCompare Edge for compare, quote, enroll, and retain Medicare members.
  • Retention Suite for members at risk, aging in, leaving group coverage, or facing plan changes.
  • Brokerlink as a digital network among plans, FMOs, agencies, agents, and beneficiaries.
  • DatabaseRx therapeutic alternatives and DrugCompare member-facing drug-cost tools (sold separately or together).
  • Active Analytics for real-time, targeted outreach.
  • APIs for health plans, PBMs, FMOs, and other organizations.

Integrations & Ecosystem

Distribution is carrier/FMO/agency websites and Brokerlink rather than a benefits-admin marketplace. Powervox is mentioned as a new partnership on the homepage without a detailed public spec in this pass. A full carrier contract list beyond the 160-carrier claim was not published as a directory.

Pricing

No public list prices. Sales via phone/email.

Notes & Limitations

  • Quotit is not this product. Quotit Corporation was sold by The Word & Brown Companies to National General Holdings in January 2017 and still operates at quotit.com. Older category lists that say “Connecture (Quotit)” mix two different companies.
  • Current public site is Medicare-first. Do not describe ConnectureDRX as a live all-state small-group medical CPQ unless a later pass finds an active commercial product page.
  • Market-share and agent-count figures are vendor-reported (some historically sourced to Mark Farrah in 2020).
  • “National” reflects U.S. Medicare plan support, not a state-by-state exclusion list.
